SBI Clerk Recruitment 2024: Notification, Eligibility, and Application Process

State Bank of India (SBI) has released the official notification for SBI Clerk Recruitment 2024 for the position of Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) in the clerical cadre. This recruitment drive aims to fill 13,735 vacancies across the country. Below are the detailed eligibility criteria, important dates, selection process, and application procedure.

Important Dates

• Opening Date for Applications: December 17, 2024
• Closing Date for Applications: January 7, 2025
• Preliminary Examination: Tentatively in February 2025
• Main Examination: Tentatively in March/April 2025

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have a Graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification approved by the Central Government.
• Those possessing an integrated dual degree (IDD) must ensure the date of passing the degree is on or before December 31, 2024.

Age Limit

• The age of the candidate should be between 20 and 28 years as on April 1, 2024.
• Candidates must have been born between April 2, 1996, and April 1, 2004 (both dates inclusive).
• Age Relaxation: Applicable as per government rules for reserved categories such as SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, and Ex-servicemen.

Selection Process

The selection process consists of the following stages:

1. Preliminary Examination:
   • The preliminary exam is an online objective test for 100 marks.
   • Duration: 1 hour
   • Sections:
     • English Language: 30 questions for 30 marks
     • Numerical Ability: 35 questions for 35 marks
     • Reasoning Ability: 35 questions for 35 marks
   • Negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
2. Main Examination:
   • The main exam is an online test consisting of objective-type questions.
   • Duration: 2 hours 40 minutes
   • Sections:
     • General/Financial Awareness: 50 marks
     • General English: 40 marks
     • Quantitative Aptitude: 50 marks
     • Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude: 60 marks
   • Total Marks: 200
3. Test of Local Language:
   • Candidates must pass the opted local language test after clearing the mains examination.
   • Those who provide 10th or 12th mark sheets showing proficiency in the specified local language are exempted from this test.

Application Fee

• General/OBC/EWS: ₹750/-
• SC/ST/PwBD/XS/DXS: Exempted (No Fee)
• Payment can be made through Debit Card, Credit Card, or Internet Banking.
